PDS

One of the most important tasks in war is defending one’s homeland. The most formidable warlords ensure their homes are well defended before going on the offensive. Planetary Defense Systems (PDSs) are the multi-component systems responsible for providing planets with defensive capabilities against potential aggressors.

Planetary Defense is a complex strategic task. PDSs deploy units armed with the most cutting edge technology -- technology that can include nano-optics, nuclear fusion, plasma technology, and electromagnetic impulse technology.

Because the right for habitation is the most important law among the Ascon Universal Laws, the Council of Species Controlling the Universe works to ensure that all species possess the means to adequately protect their home planets. It performs development on its own authority and divides the technology among the species.
