Interview - alliance AHA

We ask The Alliance Leader of AHA a few question at the end of the 12th tournament.

Chronicler: I would like to ask you, Stixion, to summarise how the events of the previous tournament affected the life of the alliance AHA.

Stixion: First of all I’d like to thank you for the interview. I’d say this tournament, unlike the previous ones, had its fair share of changes. These changes also affected the life of our alliance, as the starting plasmators pack, the new taxing system based on the flow of resources and the new method of calculating points have urged us make changes in the alliance’s resource transfer system and tactical structure.

Chronicler: Looking back, what do you think of the tournament as a whole?

Stixion: The owner of the first place on the charts became clear at the very beginning, which meant that there was no reason for there to be any big conflicts between the great alliances. This caused them to turn against the small and medium sized alliances instead. Since AHA is a medium sized alliance, this meant an exciting tournament for us. Most of our time was spent defending ourselves, which proved successful thanks to our allies’ aid, and we even had a few good counter-attacks with them. The decision to merge with our sibling alliance KT at the end of the tournament turned out to be an excellent plan. I’d like to thank the alliance’s members and their leader, Astonmarci. All in all this was a very successful tournament in the history of AHA, which brought a lot of new members, who have become used to our system and helped us take the alliance further.

Chronicler: Were there any moments in this tournament that changed your play-style or alliance life?

Stixion: Our alliance’s defences were stable and effective this tournament, which is mostly thanks to our allies, who were willing to dispatch reinforcements in the middle of the night when we needed them. There were a few mistakes, but those always happen, since we’re only human. The only great alliance who managed to break through our defensive line and steal a large quantity of plasmators lately was NSR. The chipper attitude of the members and the constant socialising also had a great effect on our game.

Chronicler: To finish up, please sum up your plans for the next tournament briefly!

Stixion: Unfortunately my life has changed in a way that no longer gives me the time to continue the game, so at the end of the 12th tournament I will end my career as Alliance Leader and pass the torch to the new leaders. It’s with a heavy heart I do this, because the members and fellow warriors have been a great help in leading the alliance. I wish them great battles and plasmators rich tournaments in the future!

Chronicler: What are your thoughts on the newly implemented applications?

Stixion: In my opinion the new taxing system doesn’t help the small alliances at all. In the current system of creating defender planets quickly with the help of the alliance treasury, the alliances with smaller income are at a disadvantage against larger alliances, which can make better use of this system. The fleet control interface is great. It’s easy to use and understand, but it does seem a little slow to respond from time to time. I found the new forum to be excellent, it’s a step forward compared to the old one, and it’s easy to get used to, even for people who have gotten used to the old one. I don’t see what the diplomatic relations objects concerning allied alliances are good for, so we never really used them.  The new planet profile is a good idea, but experienced warlords will quickly classify all important information they can, so it doesn’t
really give any useful information.

Thank you for the compliment Stixion, in fairness I used a pretty diverse tactic to break through AHA, one that employed a lot of effort, and was certainly not your usual nightly attack.
I salute all the AHA defenders who made them so hard to break down.
Best of luck in the next round
