Interview - alliance RP
We ask The Alliance Leader of RP a few question at the end of the 12th tournament.
I would like to ask you to sum up, in a few sentences, what effects the events of this round had on the alliance RP!
This round was possibly the most exciting for us since our founding. We rose above our childish ways and became a great alliance, gaining influence in the actions of all alliances outside of the top 5. We had many internal conflicts and took part in lots of battles. All in all, I believe this round has turned us into a tough team. A tough, spirited and unwavering team that will hopefully affect the outcome of the next round.
Looking back, what do you think of the previous round as a whole?
It was exciting, tough and a learning experience for the whole alliance. A few things did bother me though, for example the number of deleted planets, or the actions of a few loudmouthed warlords, regardless of alliance. I won’t name names, but I think everyone should consider this, and do a little thinking. Despite all this it was an interesting and exciting round, and I can’t wait for the next one!
Were there any moments in the round that defined your game-style or your alliance-life?
The IF has been attacking us with great strength throughout the round, which had a profound effect on our results for this round. Most of the round consisted of us fighting them, and I believe we didn’t only hold our own, but also had quite a few very successful raids against them. We salute the warriors of IF in honour of all our great battles!
Do you have any other views on the previous round you could share with us?
The bi-polar Universe has hit a dead end in my opinion. There are too many players who wish to change the construction of the Gal6 world. A sequence has begun and is now unstoppable. If I’m correct, and the system that has forced the Universe to stagnate falls apart, the next round will prove quite interesting. It will also be interesting to see who survives in the new system, as I’m sure quite a few warlords will suffer from it.
To finish up, could you summarise your plans for the next round?
RP will finally purchase a galaxy for itself, so now the members won’t be scattered about like before. We moved to the land of the rising sun: Japan. We chose this region because honour and faith mean a lot to us, like they did to the samurai of feudal Japan.
There will be a lot of reforms within the alliance as well, like our codex, the Lex Pajama (we only had unwritten rules before), or our efforts to recruit more players. We plan to separate our current inactive members, and recruit new, active and experienced warlords in their place. The pajama-propaganda will have a large influence on this, as we’d like to officially become the most stylish alliance of all. To achieve this, we’ll start putting up propaganda-posters on the public forums. This method has been quite effective so far, but now we’ll take it to the next level, hopefully we’ll be creating more and better posters.
Bonus question: What are your observations concerning the newly implemented applications?
The new fleet-control menu system saves us a lot of time, especially for piraati warlords. Since I’m a member of that species, I was very pleased with the application. The new battle-report is also useful: I believe it now contains useful information that wasn’t available before.
I am a little disappointed, however, that the game system itself wasn’t changed at all. Despite this, I think the game is evolving, although slowly, and I’m eager to see more changes. I would like to recommend the idea-bin- it’s filled with great suggestions. I realise a number of them are impossible to accomplish, but a number of them would be well received by many warlords, like alliance voting or personal taxing.
